Change to First Energy’s New Homes Program, Builder Friendly

New Home

Hello friends. I have some new news for you. First Energy has added a second tier to the New Homes Program.

Tier II( NEW)
Builders of new residential construction are eligible to receive $350 per home plus $0.10 per kWh saved for homes that perform 30 percent better than the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code®. ENERGY STAR® certification is encouraged but no longer a prerequisite for participation.

Tier I
Builders whose homes are ENERGY STAR certified and achieve 15 percent savings over code are still eligible for $400 per home plus $0.10 per kWh saved.

As always, the more efficient the home, the higher the rebate. This new tier is one that does not require an Energy Star Certification.

Even if you do not have an all-electric home, a tight home with low energy appliances and tight HVAC can still reap some of the incentive.

These financial incentives are offered on a limited basis while funding lasts. Use of the reservation system is very strongly encouraged.

The PPL New Home Program is still there. It is very similar to the New Tier for the First Energy Program. It requires a HERS Rater and provides an incentive of $0.30 per kwh saved over a 2009 Home. Max rebate of $2000

So contact me for a consultation. Get your part of the incentive while funds last!

”East Penn Energy Solutions provided outstanding service from beginning to end. They gave a professional assessment, with absolutely zero, if not less-than-zero sales pressure, telling us where we would get the most improvement for our investment, and what, while good, was probably not cost-effective.” – E.
